How to Help in Sandy’s Devastating Aftermath

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Our hearts and prayers go out to the many people and families that have been tragically affected by yesterday’s brutal storm.  When such tragedy strikes, my family always agrees that we want to help the best way that we can.  For us that means making a donation to the Red Cross.  If you want to donate, here is the link….

Managedmoms.com is sending huge prayers to our friends across the nation as they heal and rebuild in the coming months ahead.  And to the first responders, community leaders and amazing rescue teams that risk their lives, day in and  day out, we thank you and we are thinking of you, and everyone affected, during this very difficult time.

Just made our family’s donation. Such a sad time 🙁

  2. We just strolled our Maryland neighborhood in the aftermath of Sandy. The streets were carpeted with pine needles, pine cones, leaves, and broken branches. the worst we saw was a big tree upended and leaning on a second tree that was canopied over a car parked in a neighbor’s driveway. The car was untouched but I bet they’ll want to move that car as soon as possible!

We had power and kept dry so we were some of the lucky ones to experience hurricane Sandy and the nor’ eastern that roared through here Monday and all of Monday night. It’s a grey, cold Tuesday and we won’t see any sun until Thursday or Friday.

Thanks for giving us a descriptive glance of what your neighborhood looks like today. I am so thankful that your area did OK.
