Terrific Two-for-One Tip: Natural Beauty Product for Lips and Nails

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Manic:  Desert-dry nails and lips in this dry-climate summer heat that I live in, but I don’t want to spend more money on beauty products this month.

Managed:  Using a wonderful two-for-one natural beauty product recommended by celebrity makeup artist Karen Hall to conquer both areas of dryness!  You will love this tip and I’ve used it myself since Karen first told me about this several years ago.  Read on to see Karen’s great advice on how to naturally moisturize those chapped lips and dry, peeling nails.

Karen says:

Whether you are doing diaper duty, or have a job like mine, where washing your hands several times a day is a must, or just trying to keep your hands germ free, the dryness that results is a huge problem!  Not only are your hands parched, but no amount of lotion seems to keep your nails from splitting, peeling and actually breaking at the slightest tap on a counter or drawer!

Many years ago, a model I worked with told me about a product that was great for chapped lips.  It worked so well that I decided to try it on my nails.  The product is a purified lanolin called Lansinoh.

The proof is in Karen's beautiful nails! Look how nice they look!

It is meant for breast feeding women, and you can get it in the baby department at Walgreens (www.walgreens.com).  I have been using it ever since, and it works like a charm!

I don’t wear polish, so my nails are even more exposed to the elements.  I rub it on my nails every night, and at least once during the day…more is better.  My nails have never been healthier, and I owe it all to Lansinoh!

By the way, if you have polished or any coating on your nails, you can still Lansinoh on your cuticles, and the nail bed will remain healthy!
